There were probably more free black people in America during the middle passages than today…

Based on how I define freedom anyways.

So… they’re doing credit checks before they employ you and if you have bad credit you can’t get a job. Well, if you’re not giving people jobs because they have bad credit, how do you expect the people to have money to fix their credit. Is this how the rich stay rich and the poor end up poor and on the streets? If your credit is bad you can’t get the apartment? and I suppose that works out in the long run because you cant get the job to afford to pay for the apartment. Broke and on the streets, eh?

Are there any jobs in the building? Where the jobs at? Available, can you make some noise!?!

Before the great depression in the 1920’s, America was full of factories. So much so they had to pass child labor laws. Nine year olds had occupations. (Over worked, abused and underpaid- I know.) Since then these factories have gone overseas where the cost of labor and material are at prices more beneficial to these companies…

The next generation of homelessness will be full of people with four year degrees.

Today, retirement for the average American is lost in theory. 401k issued and you’re still working? Been in your profession for 20+ and now your considering going back to school or taking classes so that  you can keep food on the table?

Experience triumphs over education, in some cases… well actually in some cases, too much experience can be hindering. After all, if the pay is dependent on experience, a lot of companies can hire two newbies with the same pay wage of one you.

What do you think the average age of a fast food worker is… the number is increasing.

…

Take your trade and build your own business. Fuck the corporate brands. Help the local so that the local can help you. Eat more home cooked meals. The convenience of fast food is an illusion. Eat at dinner tables with your families again. Shop thrift. Don’t shop thrift, snag a hand me down. Count your blessings like pennies. Turn saving into sport.

Living within our means should be the new wave. If we were living this way all along there would be no recession.

We're physically in this...

but how can we tell if we were meant to be in bliss

if we’re not mentally as well.

It’s so easy to find someone that’s nice to look at, someone that you want to get to know- a crush, someone to share a fuck with… but I think it’s one of the hardest things to find- someone that you actually like. Someone who, if given the opportunity you’d pursue a relationship with.

… for me anyways.

When you know what you want, people think you’re picky.

…

I’m extremely stressed right now and i’m carrying a lot of emotional baggage. Such is life, I always remind myself to avoid working through my hang ups. The habit of not dealing, just pushing things aside is rearing its mean head again. It works short term, but in the long run issues come back and point in your face saying “i’m not touching you.” The fuckers, they are. No spliff, fuck or music is easing, just distracting. I dont want distraction, I need peace.

I need peace.
